You bring up several good issues here that didn't come to mind as i was writing the article. I'm going to contact Orbital Outfitters to see if they have addressed these issues and how. Permitting how long it takes me to get a hold of them, I'll try and have some info up before the middle of next week. Thank you, by the way, for shedding some light on some of issues not addressed in the design concept above.

Interesting concept. Aside from the requirement to keep a person from burning up in the atmosphere upon returning to Earth, I'm concerned about the idea shown here regarding Oxygen storage and consumption. There's no design showing the amount of oxygen storage and how long supplemental oxygen will last. Sure there are scrubbers to filter out CO2 but the rebreather concept may not be able to provide sufficient oxygen for the duration of the freefall. The freefall will have to be slowed down to prevent reentry burnup therefore increasing the time to get down to an atmospheric enriched environment. (below 10K ft) Another issue which I'm sure the company is well aware of is the PSI level within the space suit. It must be kept to at least 18K ft equivalent altitude to prevent possible effects of Decompression Illness. How is this pressure inside the suit maintained? Anyway, lots of technological issues to over come to be able to provide the type of extreme experience that they are looking to provide. This will be a very dangerous activity which will challenge this company to the extreme itself.
