Weighing in at about 0.08lbs the newest member of RCA’s Gem line mp3 series, has gotten quite a face lift. Although the look of the actual Jet Stream mp3 player leaves much to be desired, it is the functionality and versatility of this product that makes it worth looking at. You know the saying, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
Designed with the athlete in mind, Jet Stream sports has an integrated Pedometer, Calorie Counter and Body Mass Index calculator providing a more convenient way to monitor your health. The mp3 player is built to sustain the constant wear and tear of an everyday workout regimen and comes with an armband for easy, out-of-the way storage.

If for some reason, you don’t feel like listening to your mp3’s then that’s ok. Jet Stream offers an FM tuner and recorder. Yes, an FM recorder. Now you can listen to your favorite radio station programs over and over again as you climb K2 or go base jumping in the Grand Canyon.
With all that to offer, the RCA also includes an armband, wristband, software and 2 sets of headsets with the mp3 player. After your double-take, you might be asking yourself why RCA would include 2 headsets. Well the answer to your question my good friend, is that one is a wire-dependent headset. While the other is wireless.
“The wireless headset is easy to use straight out of the box. All you need to do is turn it on and it’s ready to go.”
Yep, RCA’s Jet Stream includes a wireless headset using Kleer technology. Kleer technology is basically Bluetooth’s rival in the wireless community. Using Kleer technology, RCA is able to provide a nice comfortable workout, without the wires. The wireless headset is easy to use straight out of the box. All you need to do is turn it on and it’s ready to go. Don’t forget to add your mp3’s with all of your excitement.
With that said, I feel that even though the Jet Stream was designed with the athlete in my, it still offers so many other functions that it could easily be integrated in your every day life. RCA has released the Jet Stream into the hands of the FCC, so we should be seeing a release date sometime in the future. I’ll make sure to keep you posted.
